Report on Tsunami Relief Work

9 February 2005

Dear Friends,
Many of you have asked for an update on the tsunami relief work being conducted by the Theosophical Order of Service in Chennai. Thank you for your concern. Some photos of the relief work are shown here.

The local TOS group in Chennai are doing an outstanding job in difficult circumstances. Last weekend their team of more than a dozen volunteer doctors treated over 300 needy people in one day at the Social Welfare Centre at Adyar. They offered eye, dental and general checkups, as well as specialist advice in gynaecology, orthopedics, paediatrics and ear, nose and throat ailments.

Sincerely, Diana Dunningham Chapotin,
TOS International Secretary, 9 February 2005
